Russian space agency appears to threaten to drop ISS on India or China
Russia’s air force commander appears to have threatened to release the International Space Station in India or China over Western sanctions.
Dmitry Rogozin, director general of Roscosmos, wrote on Twitter that countries should “prevent your sanctions from falling on your head, and not just in a figurative sense,” in a series of posts on Thursday. He was responding to reports that US sanctions, imposed in retaliation for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, could affect Russia’s space program.
“Do you want to destroy our cooperation on the ISS?” Rogozin, who is also Russia’s ambassador to NATO, wrote on Twitter.
